EVENTS Oh what a year! We were unable to hold our Local Living Fair in the Spring but that did not stop us from connecting with our community in any way we could! *Spring seed delivery to families starting gardens *Seeds and pots of soil distributed to families through contactless pick up *Fun activity books & stickers left in mailboxes *Worked with HCSD Food Service / farm to School throughout the year *Seeds and soil for families to start seedlings for all four school gardens *Shared in The Giving Garden Videos with HCSD families *Prepped gardens *collected seedlings and prepared gardens to be growing for the community and families *Maintained the gardens throughout the summer *Gathered harvest to distribute to a family each week with a challenge to use it for a meal. *Weekly Harvest and donation to SSPP Food Pantry *Planned and organized activities for the school year that followed all safety protocols and allowed students to enjoy and utilize the garden spaces. *Made Farm to School connections through outdoor class activities, Middle School Classes, Culinary Program Challenges, and High School Work Based Class garden work visits. |
